Our Services

Our Services consist of architectural  design, interior architecture, space planning, green design and project management.

Architectural Design consists of interpreting the needs and requirements of each  individual client and combined with our professional knowledge about materials, trends and spaces we create unique design solutions. Archiway Architects uses 3D imaging where possible or required to explain the design of spaces and buildings. Architectural design is the design of buildings or urban landscapes, as opposed to the construction documents and management required to construct it. Our designers use their amazing creative skills, imagination and artistic talent to create the most unique designs.

“Architecture (Latin architectura, from  the Greek ἀρχιτέκτων – arkhitekton, from ἀρχι- “chief” and τέκτων “builder, carpenter, mason”) is both the process and product of planning, designing and construction. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. Historical civilizations are often identified with their surviving architectural achievements.”

The design of any buildings combines planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambience that reflect functional, technical, social, environmental, and aesthetic considerations and includes green  principles where required. The design of any building requires the creative manipulation and coordination of material, technology, light and shadow. Architecture also encompasses the pragmatic aspects of realizing buildings and structures, including scheduling, cost estimating and construction administration. As documentation produced by architects, typically drawings, plans and technical specifications, architecture defines the structure and/or behavior of a building or any other kind of system that is to be or has been.

Project Management is  the discipline of planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals. A project is a temporary endeavor with a defined beginning and end (usually time-constrained, and often constrained by funding or deliverables), undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives, typically to bring about beneficial change or added value. The temporary  nature of projects stands in contrast with business as usual (or operations), which are repetitive, permanent, or semi-permanent functional activities to produce products or services. In practice, the management of these two systems is often quite different, and as such requires the development of distinct technical skills and management strategies.

The  primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals and objectives while honoring the preconceived constraints. The primary constraints are scope, time, quality and budget. The secondary —and more ambitious— challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and integrate them to meet pre-defined objectives”

Interior Design is the design of comfortable human spaces in residential, commercial or retail buildings. Our interior designers use their creative skills together with knowledge of spaces and organisational skills to create comfortable living and working environments

Architectural Draughting consists of documenting  the design done by the Architectural designer in such a way that the contractor is able to construct the actual building from such drawings. Our architectural draughtsmen have excellent knowledge of  construction details, timelines and spaces to ensure working drawings are clear and easy to understand.

“An architectural drawing or architect’s drawing is a technical drawing of a building (or building project) that falls within the  definition of architecture. Architectural drawings are used by architects and others for a number of purposes: to develop a design idea into a coherent proposal, to communicate ideas and concepts, to  convince clients of the merits of a design, to enable a building contractor to construct it, as a record of the completed work, and to make a record of a building that already exists”

Procurement is the sourcing of materials or services for a specific project. At Archiway Architects we feel that it is crucial that the best quality for the best price is found for our clients.

Turn Key Solutions describes a project where a full service is  offered to our clients where the project combines design, technical details, sourcing of materials, budgets and construction of the project to ensure the best final product. A turn key project also takes away a tremendous amount of stress and involvement  required from the client. We offer turn key solutions for our interior and architectural projects.

Turnkey refers to something that is ready for immediate use, generally used in the sale or supply of goods or services. Turnkey is  often used to describe a home built on the developer’s land with the developer’s financing ready for the customer to move in. If a contractor builds a “turnkey home” they frame the structure and finish the  interior. Everything is completed down to the cabinets and carpet “Turnkey” is commonly used in the construction industry, for instance, in which it refers to the bundling of materials and labor by sub-contractors.

Archiway Architects will source the best contactors suitable for a specific project to ensure the best end result within budget constraints.

Due to our extensive knowledge of green design  and our involvement with the green building council since 2007, Archiway  Architects offers an additional service to any client to  incorporate green design principles from an early design stage ensuring the best  solutions depending on how “green” the client wishes  the building to be. Archiway Architects is able to assist in  obtaining an actual green start rating should this be required.
